================================================================================ LINUX Version 5.0.273.2 Beta ================================================================================ First Public Beta - This is the first public beta of PalaceChat for Linux - As linux have different flavors, chech the link to palacechat-linux-beta.html at this same list. - Almost everything you already know from the Windows and Mac versions is here: rooms, props, whispers, scripting, the prop bag, decorations, themes, etc. - A few options are missing or behave a little differently. Linux simply does not have an equivalent for every piece the other two versions are built on, so some things cannot work the same way here. If something you use every day is missing or feels off, tell us: that is exactly what this beta is for. - From this version on, every change to the Linux build gets listed in this file. New Features - Tabs now tell you how many messages are waiting in them. A number sits on the tab's dot, up to 9+, and it clears the moment you open that tab. Whispers keep their own colour, so a private message still looks different from room chat at a glance. Bug Fixes - Fixed connections that failed for no reason on some servers, reported as "Socket error: 4". The connection was still being made when the client gave up on it. - A palace's own icon shows up on its tab again. Icons in the .ico format were not being read on Linux at all, so those tabs showed a broken square instead of the palace's icon. Improvements - Connection problems are now reported in plain language instead of a bare number, for example "Connection refused (111)" or "No route to host (113)". The number is still shown next to it.
